Day 1 Bordeaux

Welcome to Bordeaux! A famous wine-growing region and home to numerous quaint villages, Bordeaux is the perfect place to introduce yourself to the art of winemaking. Upon your arrival in Bordeaux, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you
can relax for the rest of the day. Overnight in Bordeaux.
Day 2 Bordeaux

Today, a private guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a wine tour through the idyllic vineyards of St. Julien and Margaux, two of the most famous wine regions in Bordeaux. During the tour, you’re
going to learn everything about the wine-making process, from harvest to production, and enjoy wine tasting sessions guided by experienced sommeliers. After the tour, you’ll have the remainder of the day free. Overnight in Bordeaux.
Day 3 Bordeaux-Lyon

After one last breakfast in Bordeaux, you’ll be off to your next destination, Lyon. Lyon, the capital of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, is a city with enduring history located along the banks of the Rhône river. Famous for its gastronomy and
Renaissance architecture, Lyon has a lot to offer in terms of culture and sightseeing. Upon your arrival, a private driver will pick you up from the airport and whisk you to your downtown hotel in Lyon. Overnight in Lyon.
Day 4 Lyon

After breakfast, a local chef is going to pick you up from your hotel and take you on a food tour. Justly acclaimed gastronomic capital of the world, Lyon is the perfect place for introducing yourself to the French culinary
scene! Lyon’s cuisine is based on meat, seafood, dairy, olive oil, and wine, all fresh and locally produced. Day 5 Lyon-Beaune

In the morning, you’ll be off to the next destination of this wine and food tour of France, Beaune. Located in the heart of Burgundy, one of the most prominent winemaking regions in France, this town is an ideal starting
point for vineyard tours. Upon your arrival in Beaune, you will be transferred to your boutique hotel in the city center. After you have settled in, you can start exploring the historical city of Beaune. Some of the top sites to visit in Beaune are the Porte Saint-Nicolas, the Château de Savigny, the medieval Hôtel-Dieu, the Château de la Rochepot, and the Basilique Notre-Dame. This town has a medieval charm that’s going to captivate you! Overnight in Beaune.
Day 6 Beaune

It’s time for another wonderful wine experience in France! Today, you’ll go on a tour of some of the best winemaking villages in Burgundy. You will visit top family-owned wineries, tour the vineyards, learn the ins and outs of wine
production from harvest to bottling, indulge in wine tasting sessions, and taste the region’s culinary delights. During the tour, you’re going to taste the two most popular wine varieties of Burgundy: the white Chardonnay (flower and white/yellow fruit aromas) and the red Pinot Noir (red fruits and spices aromas). At the end of the tour, you’ll enjoy a hearty meal made of the freshest local ingredients. Overnight in Beaune.
Day 7 Beaune-Strasbourg

After breakfast, you’ll be off to the next and final destination of this trip: the picturesque Alsace region. Located in northeastern France, next to Germany and Switzerland, Alsace has the best of both worlds! Upon your arrival in Alsace, you’ll
be transferred to your hotel in Strasbourg, which will be your base for the rest of your trip. After you have settled in, you’ll hit the road to start exploring this Gothic city. Home to one of the largest medieval quarters in Europe, Strasbourg has a lot to offer in terms of sightseeing! Don’t miss the Strasbourg Cathedral, the Parc de l’Orangerie, the European Parliament Building, the super-Instagrammable Petite France district, and the Barrage Vauban bridge. Day 8 Strasbourg

Today, the day will be dedicated to -what else- wine! In the morning, an experienced wine expert will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a tour of the best wine villages of the Alsace region, including
Hunspach, Cleebourg, Marlenheim, Colmar, and Molsheim. During the tour, you’ll be introduced to the region’s medieval heritage, visit some of the best vineyards in France, meet local winegrowers, walk through forests, and eat mouthwatering local delicacies. Of course, you’re going to taste the region’s best wine varieties, like Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Auxerrois, and Sylvaner. After the tour, you’ll have the remainder of the day free. Overnight in Strasbourg.
Day 9 Strasbourg

It’s time to say goodbye to Strasbourg! After a farewell breakfast, a private driver will pick you up and whisk you to the airport to catch a flight back home or to your next destination.

This trip was the perfect blend of education and fun. We had very little knowledge of French wines before the trip, but now we like to call ourselves experts haha! We highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn more about French wine and cuisine.

We learned so much about the wine and food history of France on this tour. All the regions we visited were wonderful, the wine tastings were delicious and the sommeliers that guided us were very knowledgeable. The tour was excellent from start to finish, we will definitely be back! If you love French wine and want to learn more about it, don’t miss it!
