Day 1 Barcelona

Welcome to Barcelona! Upon your arrival, our driver will be waiting to whisk you to your hotel in the heart of the colorful Barcelona city, where you’re going to spend the next three nights. After you have settled in, you
can explore the city and visit the most important landmarks, including the La Sagrada Familia, the Palacio de la Musica, Casa Batllo, Casa Terrades, La Pedrera, and Park Güell. In the night, you’ll have your first gastronomic experience in Barcelona: A traditional tapas and wine meal! Tapas are bite-sized dishes, which are usually served along with wine and are particularly popular in Spain. A tapas dinner is the best way to end the first day of this trip. Overnight in Barcelona.
Day 2 Barcelona

After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a mouth-watering walking tour guided by a local chef, who’s going to introduce you to the secrets of Catalan cuisine. You’ll visit the best food markets in town,
including the iconic Mercado de La Boqueria and Santa Caterina Market, satisfy your appetite with the best street food, and purchase your favorite local delicacies. After the tour, you’re going to learn how to make some of the most popular Catalan dishes through a cooking class. Overnight in Barcelona.
Day 3 Barcelona-Logrono

In the morning, you’ll head to the next destination of your trip, Logrono, the capital of La Rioja, the most famous wine region in Spain. After you have settled in, a local guide will meet you at the lobby of
your hotel and take you on a walking tour of Logrono. You’re going to discover the best tapas bars, savor delicious street food dishes, sip on locally-produced red wine, be introduced to the local culture, and explore the well-preserved medieval city. You’re going to end the day in the most delicious way possible, savoring a tapas meal. Overnight in Logrono.
Day 4 Logrono

On your second day in Logrono, you’ll go on a wine tour guided by a local sommelier. During the tour, you’ll visit the region’s best vineyards, enjoy a wine tasting session, learn everything about wine production, and choose your favorite
Spanish wines to take back home. After the tour, we can arrange for you to go on a sunset hot air balloon flight over the vineyards of La Rioja. Seeing the endless Catalan vineyards from above is a unique experience! Overnight in Logrono.
Day 5 Logrono-San Sebastian

In the morning, you’ll be transferred to the next destination of this culinary adventure, the coastal San Sebastian. This town is famous for its idyllic beaches and excellent restaurants. After you have settled in, a local chef will pick you
up from your hotel to introduce you to the culinary and cultural scene of San Sebastian. You’ll visit the best pintxo bars of the city to taste delicious pintxos (traditional miniature dishes) and drink Basque cider while learning everything about the gastronomic history of San Sebastian. Overnight in San Sebastian.
Day 6 San Sebastian-Asturias

Today, you’ll head to your next destination, Asturias, one of the most beautiful regions in northern Spain. The journey to Asturias is idyllic! As you drive along the coast, you’ll pass through verdant landscapes and imposing mountains that will blow
your mind with their beauty. When you arrive in Asturias, you’ll check-in at your seaside hotel and go for a little bit of exploration. You can visit the beautiful beaches, marvel at the breathtaking view from the Mirador del Fitu, meander around the fairytale Botanico Atlantico gardens, visit Oviedo Cathedral…options are endless! If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try surfing at San Lorenzo beach, the perfect place to catch the best waves! At night, we’ll have booked a table for you at one of the best restaurants in Asturias, where you’ll savor a traditional dinner. Overnight in Asturias.
Day 7 Asturias

After breakfast, you’ll set off on a tour of the quaint fishing villages of Asturias. The rugged coastline of Asturias is dotted with many picturesque villages, like Cudillero, Lastres, Llanes, and Luarca. These villages have managed to keep their authenticity
and traditional character despite the touristic development, so they are the perfect places for introducing yourself to the local lifestyle and culture. Some of the villages are also home to well-preserved buildings that date back to the 13th-16th century and blend perfectly with the vintage vibe of the area. At the end of the tour, you’re going to enjoy a traditional seafood meal at a little restaurant by the sea. Overnight in Asturias.
Day 8 Asturias-Santiago de Compostela

In the morning, you’re going to leave back the green mountains and idyllic coasts of Asturias and head to the final destination of this trip, Santiago de Compostela, the capital of the Galicia region. This city has enduring history and
religious significance, as its old town is a famous pilgrimage site and a religious symbol among the Spanish. After you have settled into your hotel, a private guide will meet you at the lobby to take you on a walking tour of the medieval city. During the tour, you’ll get to see the beautiful Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque buildings and learn everything about the town’s history. Overnight in Santiago de Compostela.
Day 9 Santiago de Compostela-Rias Baixas

This day will be dedicated to wine! After breakfast, you’ll go to the Rias Baixas wine region, which produces the local wine variety, Albarino. Albarino is a crisp and aromatic white wine with fruity flavors. During the day, you’ll tour
the endless vineyards, learn how the wine is produced, visit a traditional winery, and enjoy a wine tasting session with wine pairing. After the tour, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal made with locally grown products accompanied by Albarino wine. Overnight in Rias Baixas.
Day 10 Rias Baixas-Barcelona

On the final day of your trip, you can enjoy a relaxing morning at your hotel or go for a quick walk. Then, your private driver will transfer you to the airport to catch a flight back to Barcelona.

History and food tour in Northern Spain.

This trip was a great way to see the northern part of Spain and really experience the local culture. Our guides took care of everything for us and made all the changes we requested about the trip. They also took us to some places off the tourist trail, of which there are many in Northern Spain. Everything about this tour was fantastic and we can’t wait to do it again!

This tour is a must if you have Northern Spain on your bucket list!

What we liked about this tour was that it included many different historical places, landscapes, and experiences. We went to Medieval cities, we visited vineyards, we tasted local wines in Logrono, we ate THE most delicious food...Our guides took us to the best places! Thank you for everything!
