Explore Santorini at your own pace on a tailor-made private tour!

Famed for being one of the most romantic destinations in the world, Santorini is arguably a stunning place to visit. You may think that Santorini is all about breathtaking sunsets and caldera-hanging resorts, but there’s more to it than that! On this tour, we’re going to show you the best bits of Santorini, both the popular spots and the lesser-visited gems. Since the tour is tailor-made, you can decide which two villages (choosing from Fira, Oia, Imerovigli, Pyrgos, etc) and the archaeological site (Prehistoric Museum of Fira or the Prehistoric Akrotiri Settlement) you want to visit.

The Prehistoric Museum of Fira houses a selection of findings from excavations carried out all around the island and date back to Neolithic, Minoan, and Hellenistic periods. The Prehistoric Akrotiri Settlement is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. The settlement was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, but the ashes that covered it preserved the frescoes, buildings, and artworks for 3,500 years! As for the villages, Oia, Imerovigli, and Pyrgos are the ones we suggest that you in this tour.

Oia is a picture-perfect village built on Santorini caldera in the north part of the island. Thanks to its breathtaking sunset views, magical setting, and iconic Cycladic architecture, Oia is a super popular stop on any tourist route. Imerovigli boasts fantastic views of the sunset and the volcano, as well as panoramic vistas of the island.

Imerovigli is also a great place for sightseeing, as it is home to one of the island’s most important fortresses built in the 1200s. Pyrgos, the old capital of Santorini, is a picturesque village located on the island’s highest peak, at 550 meters above sea level. Boasting beautiful Cycladic architecture, Byzantine churches, labyrinths of narrow cobblestone alleys, and unique natural beauty, it is one of the most charming places to visit in Santorini. Tip: The Venetian Castle of Pyrgos, at the village’s highest point, is the perfect spot for sunset watching!
